Anzac Day

The following arrangements are those in place for Anzac Day, and are necessary to enable us to comply with the Covid 19 Safety Plan requirements.
No Dawn Service will be held this year.

There will be a service held at the Mittagong Memorial commencing at 10:45am.

There will be a march, which will commence at 10:35am. Those participating in the march are requested to assemble in Albion Street Mittagong from 10:00am. The march is a ticketed event, and the tickets will be available from reception at Mittagong RSL Club from the 7/4/2021 until the 19/4/2021. When obtaining your ticket, you will need to supply your name and a current contact phone number in accordance with current Covid-19 regulations.

The march will be restricted to serving, ex-service and those wearing medals on behalf of family members, restricted to one family member only, flag bearers and the Highland Pipes and Drums. There will be a Navy catafalque party at the memorial however no Naval contingent will be joining us as in past years.

Seating will be supplied at the Memorial for those veterans who are unable to march and their partners, a march ticket will also be required for these veterans and partners. Seating will be available for those ladies from the Women’s Auxiliary. No cars will be taking part in the march.

We are also encouraging the public to Light up the Dawn at the front of their houses at 6:00am as they did last year and to visit the Mittagong Memorial during the day to lay their tributes.
